Description

Variegated variety.

Strong healthy plants: These are not babies.

This one is harder for us to propagate so that we charge more for it.

Spider Plant has long thin green leaves coming from a centeral mass and tiny lilly-like white flowers across its stems.

One of the ways this plant propogates is by having little ‘plantlets'(patch of baby leaves ready to be planted) at the tips of its stems. When these stems get long enough, they will droop and the plantlet will hit the soil and send out roots.

The Spider Plant also creates big white tubers underground, which, unfortunately are not edible.

Normally this plant is hung in the air, letting its flower and plantlet bearing stems droop in the air, below its bunch of leaves, but we find that it looks quite good in the ground too: as a barrier between landscaped areas and more groundcover focused areas.

The Spider plant is also adept at cleaning the air of formaldahyds, making it great as an potted house plant.
